Are you worried about painful Botox injections?

Many of us may have very low threshold of pain and idea of Botox injections could makes it worse. In my experience, Botox injections are very comfortable and least painful in general.

Here, is the information on every minimal discomfort which you may feel while getting it done.

Botox injections are injected using 30/31 gauges needles in almost every clinics. These needles are very thin which makes injections very comfortable.

Once the needle is inside, the injector will push the plunger to deliver Botox at the desired site. This may cause little burning sensation. Ice and pre-procedure numbing cream minimize this problem. A gentle or trained injector is sufficient to give smooth injections.

It helps in reducing prickly sensation. Also, it may convert whole procedure from minimal painful to a pleasant one.

Numbing cream

It minimizes the overall discomfort for patients who have very low threshold of pain. Ask for applying numbing cream before going for the procedure if you can’t bear much pain.

Vibrating device

Vibration is a strong stimulus and it masks other pain. Few clinics use vibrating device or tapping to distract injection site pain.
